From a dormant idea to a vibrant worldwide movement — the story of Egbe Omo Araromi Ekiti Worldwide is one of community, perseverance, and renewed purpose.
EOAE is a unifying global association of sons and daughters of Araromi Ekiti, committed to preserving our heritage, empowering our communities, and advancing the collective wellbeing of our people wherever they live across Nigeria and the world.
Rooted in tradition and driven by a progressive vision, the Egbe serves as the bridge between home and the diaspora — connecting hearts, mobilising resources, and amplifying the voice of Araromi Ekiti on every stage. Our association operates with deep respect for the traditional institution under the leadership of His Royal Majesty, the Alararomi of Araromi Ekiti, whose support and guidance continue to inspire everything we do.
The Original Egbe
The roots of the association stretch back to around the 1960s, a period of great social awakening across Nigeria. Sons and daughters of Araromi Ekiti living in various cities began organising informally — meeting to maintain ties with home, support one another, and foster a sense of shared identity. This early form of community self-organisation was the seed of what would later become EOAE.
Decades of Dormancy
Like many community associations of that era, the early Egbe gradually lost momentum over the following decades. The pressures of migration, changing demographics, and the absence of formal leadership structures led to the association becoming largely inactive. For generations, the idea of a unified Araromi Ekiti association remained only a distant memory — a story told by elders, a potential waiting to be rekindled.
A New Dawn — EOAE Worldwide is Born
In 2025, a turning point arrived. Following the installation of the Asiwaju of Araromi Ekiti — a respected community leader whose vision has always centred on the unity and progress of his people — the call to revive the association was made with renewed conviction.
The Asiwaju championed the relaunch and formalisation of the association, giving it a clear structure, a global mandate, and a powerful name: Egbe Omo Araromi Ekiti Worldwide (EOAE). No longer a local social club, but a properly constituted association with elected officers, a constitution, and chapters spanning Nigeria and the diaspora.
Under the spiritual and traditional guidance of the Alararomi-in-Council, and with the Asiwaju's tireless advocacy, sons and daughters of Araromi Ekiti across the country and beyond rallied to the call. Chapters were registered, members enrolled, and the Egbe — after decades of silence — found its voice again.
Today — A Growing Movement
EOAE Worldwide now has active chapters in Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Kwara, Abuja, and Ondo states, as well as a growing diaspora chapter serving Araromi Ekiti sons and daughters living abroad. The association is young in its formal structure but deep in its roots — and it is growing rapidly.
Our work spans community development projects, cultural preservation, youth empowerment, electoral participation, and diaspora engagement. The journey that began quietly decades ago is now a confident, purposeful march forward. Itesiwaju Araromi Ekiti!

How EOAE is Structured
National Secretariat
The central body of EOAE, led by elected officers including the President, Secretary-General, and Treasurer. The secretariat oversees all affairs, sets strategic direction, and coordinates the work of all chapters.
Executives & Officers
Elected and appointed officers carry out the day-to-day work of EOAE — from managing finances and communications to organising events, elections, and community development projects.
State & Diaspora Chapters
Eight active chapters — from Ekiti to the diaspora — serve as the grassroots engine of EOAE, organising members locally and enabling community action wherever our people live.
Members
Every registered member is a stakeholder with a voice. Members vote in elections, contribute dues, attend events, and are the driving force behind all EOAE community projects.
